Last week, our team was honored to join our fellow St. Louisans in participating in St. Louis World Food Day 2016 – an annual food packaging event to help feed hungry people living locally and abroad. With World Health Organization statistics suggesting that a child dies every six seconds from malnutrition and related illnesses, the St. Louis World Food Day event raises awareness, increases understanding, and equips people to take action to alleviate hunger, both locally and internationally.
As a part of this event, L3 helped assemble rice/soy protein meals to help alleviate the suffering of people in need. At the 2015 event, 362,556 meals were assembled in a single day!
